CYNICS

If you really think like the guy quoted on this page, we can’t help you.

But consider this: the world is going to continue to get more competitive, whether you like it or not.  Psychological research has shown that happier people are far more productive.  And instinctively we all want to have the “good life” which means hard work, but not at the expense of everything we enjoy.  The great irony – thought it may be hard to believe – is that the only way to higher productivity is through improving both your “work” and your “life”.  It’s impossible to have your “A game” at work, if you don’t have your “A game” at home.  And vice versa.

Besides, what have you got to lose?  If you continue to do what you are doing now, you know what the outcome will be.  Give us a chance to help convince you to take a chance.

“Thanks for your offer to help.  I know I don't have a life, but this is the life I chose.” — A real quote, from a real executive, purposely kept anonymous
