It can be read stand-alone or used as a companion for our work-life coaching, classes and self-paced plans, and includes a unique index format that makes it a great on-going reference for maintaining your work-life gains long after you have mastered the basics.
Newsletter Dr. WorkLife provides a monthly newsletter on general work-life issues, passed through the unique lens of Dr. WorkLife. We take popular contemporary views and press stories which paint the world as a battle between work and life, and show you how it’s really about having both, or having nothing. We show you how it can be your choice: how you can follow the herd and lead a slave’s life of toil and trudging, or break away from the pack, super-charge your productivity, and have the life you always wanted. It’s a great way to “dip a toe in the water,” get a different perspective, and explore the possibilities for your own benefits.
Work-Life Composite Index Survey All of our coaching, classes, and self-paced plans can be accompanied by pre- and post-surveys that directly measure “work-life fitness.” Through our experience, we’ve developed what we call a “work-life composite index” that combines key indicators that measure the effectiveness of our products and services. These surveys can be kept very brief using just our composite index questions, or expanded and customized to measure topics of critical importance to you.
Self-Paced Work-Life Plan Ideal for individuals or small groups who want to facilitate their own work-life circle, this set of podcast recordings is designed as a companion to our Work-Life Balancing book. Narrated by Dr WorkLife’s founder, Dr. Paul Baffes, each podcast leads you through a key work-life concept with exercises for probing your own experiences to break down the barriers that will typically prevent you from putting the concept into practice. We won’t lie to youit’s nearly impossible to get the same value from a self-paced plan that you will get from one-to-one coaching or group classes. However, when paired with our Live Work-Life Telecons, the Self-Paced Plan is a practical way to deliver work-life results on a large scale or a limited budget. Most companies will select a combination of our Self-Paced Plans, Live Work-Life Telecons, and One-to-One Coaching for executives and key influencers as an end-to-end solution.
Work-Life Booster Podcasts Our Booster program is a subscription to a weekly series of short work-life podcasts designed to help you and your employees continue to stay focused on the habits that reinforce the high-quality and high-performance actions you want. Work-life is no different from any other good habityou, your company, and your employees will only truly benefit from the gains if you can find a way of sustaining your hard-won achievements. At Dr. WorkLife, we’d rather you never buy any of our products, than to see you waste your time and money without a plan for how to retain the benefits. One-to-one coaching is, of course, your best retention option, but we recognize that this is not always affordable, practical or even possible. Most companies will combine our Booster Podcasts with occasional Live Work-Life Telecons and targeted One-to-One Coaching to provide that “shot in the arm” to keep their work-life fitness high.

Work-Life Info Session Dr. WorkLife offers in-person or teleconference-facilitated information sessions that outline the benefits of work-life for you or your organization. Delivered by Dr. Paul Baffes, the founder of Dr. WorkLife, these info sessions are fun and engaging and can be tailored to any size audience. They are at their best when they are customized to fit your particular needs, audience, and budget, from half-day seminars to one-to-one example coaching consultations to keynote sessions to motivational speeches to webinars. The goal is awareness and communication of the bottom-line benefits to you, as well as an overview of the techniques we use at Dr WorkLife to deliver those benefits.
One-to-One Work-Life Coaching The best way of providing the highest work-life value to you or your employees is through customized One-to-One Coaching sessions. Delivered by a certified Dr. WorkLife coach, these sessions start with our standard work-life curriculum and deviate from there to suit the individual. One-to-One Coaching is best for your key employees, top executives or other “influencers” who set the tone of your corporate culture and can therefore motivate a large number of employees. Great for both acquiring work-life capabilities and sustaining work-life benefits, most companies will use targeted One-to-One Coaching in combination with our other products and services to drive their bottom-line business gains.
Group Work-Life Classes Our Group Work-Life Classes are multi-week courses based on our Work-Life Balancing book and delivered as facilitated group discussions. Typically spanning 7 weeks with a 1-hour discussion session each week, these courses are run by a certified Dr. WorkLife coach who will lead you through our curriculum with exercises for practicing the concepts between discussion sessions. This hands-on practice, combined with peer discussion that focuses on examples tailored to each specific group, makes these courses a powerful way for your employees to experience the benefits of work-life. We find these classes are particularly popular with peer groups, such as executives, many of whom are experiencing work overload but feel “alone” with no effective channel for discussing it. When paired with targeted One-to-One Coaching, and follow up Live Telecons, Group Work-Life Classes are a great way to create a culture that will support your work-life business goals.
Live Work-Life Telecons Adjustable to any size audience and to any frequency of delivery, our Live Work-Life Telecons are a support service we offer to supplement our coaching, classes and self-paced plans. These telecons are run by a live facilitator from Dr. WorkLife and can therefore be customized to fit your needs. Use them as Q&A sessions in conjunction with our Self-Paced Plan to deliver work-life concepts to large numbers of employees. Or run them monthly after a Group Class to keep your key employees and other “influencers” on track. Most companies will combine our Live Work-Life Telecons with Booster Podcasts and targeted One-to-One Coaching to ensure continued bottom-line business benefits.
Work-Life Professional Certification Our Work-Life Professional Certification program is a great way to train your own employees to deliver any of the Dr. WorkLife products and services. Depending upon your strategy and circumstances, you may not want to be dependent upon Dr. WorkLife every time you need to modify your work-life strategy or expand the way you deliver work-life to your employees. More importantly, having your own certified work-life professionals may be the best or only way to guaranty your organization continues to get the most from your work-life investment.

Work-Life Executive Briefing Our Work-Life Executive Briefings are custom presentations for your key executives to explore the benefits of work-life to your particular business. They go beyond our Work-Life Info Sessions to include a post-briefing brain storming session specifically designed to answer whether the products and services of Dr WorkLife can address your specific needs and your specific budget and if so, how.
Work-Life Pilot Studies All of our products and services can be run as pilot programs so you can “kick the tires” and try specific remedies before rolling them out across your company. All pilots include our Work-Life Composite Index Surveys to measure effectiveness, and can be customized to include other measures of importance to you. The goal is to determine whether the remedies suggested by Dr WorkLife for your corporation will, in fact, work.
Remedy Plan Dr. WorkLife offers a formal Remedy Plan which is a written analysis of the needs of your corporation, stemming from Executive Briefings, Pilot Studies, and Work-Life Surveys. Remedy Plans are best suited to corporations who want to go beyond our pre-packaged plans and customize our products and services for their specific needs. Remedy Plans start with your stated business goals and conclude with a strategy for rollout across your corporation in a way that meets your strategy and your budget, and can include any combination of the Dr WorkLife products and services available.
Fitness Reports Like a “mini remedy plan,” Fitness Reports are regularly scheduled evaluations of your firm’s work-life indicators, to help you keep tabs on how well you are maintaining your high-productivity work culture..
